Helloooo

So, it's been a while. A stressful while. Work sucks and I've been letting it get to me: a major cause of cortisol rise and hence accumulation of fat in all the trouble areas, especially the middle zone. I haven't been constant about using the My Fitness Pal app, i kind of automatically just add the calories in my head after all this time. I still take my green tea extract whenever I remember. As far as the Alli goes, I practically stopped since I last updated this blog, yet I continued to see its "effects" for well after 4-5 days. I recently started taking it again just to finish off the bottle but I plan on going Alli free for a while after I finish. I would definitely recommend it to anyone starting a weight loss plan if, and ONLY IF, you are serious about it. I think the mix of Alli, green tea, low sugar and carbs, and (most importantly) calorie counting is the key to success. I can't stress enough the importance of calorie counting, most of us have access to the Internet or a smart phone, there are plenty of calorie trackers there but my favorite is the My Fitness Pal. At first it is frustrating and you feel you will never reach your goal, but by staying focused during the week and enjoying anything you want on the weekends you can do this. Trust me, I'm the weakest one when it comes to sugar and self control. But knowing you can enjoy that fried chicken, that ice cream or those burgers and fries on the weekend, help you stay on track during the week. Focus and soon it will become a way of life.
Here is a picture of today, I personally don't see any major changes but I've gotten a lot of comments on me losing weight. You be the judge. My weight today was 120.

Long overdue update

I'll try to make this short. I have family in town, so there's been a lot of chips, and cheese and stuff at home and of course I've been weak. I think sometimes I'm a "social eater" like some people are "social drinkers" I'm not hungry but I eat.. Others drink, smoke, etc but eating could still be harmful when you are a social eater. I have been taking the Alli though, at Least once a day and I can certainly see the effects when I misbehave :-/ it's not cute! I think I might have gone up a couple of pounds but I'm scared to weight myself now, I wanna go back to being good for at least one week before I do so. An updated picture from this morning for you to judge!

:D

I think I was finally able to get out of my weight loss plateau, although I am a bit concerened about having lost 12 pounds in abot 2 months. I got a compliment at work today about me looking skinnier. And I've been getting a lot of support from Lisa and everyone at home. It feels great to hear words of encouragement and congratulations, since I really don't notice major changes myself! I do have to work out though because I'm very mushy even though I have lost volume. And I'm STILL forgetting to take the multivitamin! I promise myself to remember, I do not want to get sick :) Below is a picture of that the scale showed this morning! 5 more pounds to go and then I have to keep that weight off for at least 1 year to allow my body to recognize it as my "normal" weight :)

Update

Not much to report. I've been forgetting to take Alli 3 times a day and sometimes I'll take it once or twice a day. Still counting calories, trying to stay under 1200. I've been drinking green tea. The scale says I weigh 124.5 but I haven't noticed any major changes. I really need to work out more, tennis is being cancelled all the time with this weather so might have to go back to work out videos, although they can become tedious after a while. An update photo for your entertainment. I don't see any visible differences.

125!

(According to the scale at Publix)

7 more to go!

Multivitamin

Alli clearly warns you about some some inability to absorb vitamins while on the pill, thus you should be taking a multivitamin at nighttime. I always forget. Starting tonight, I will set up a phone reminder so I don't forget to take it.

Left home empty handed.

Not preparing your lunch ahead of time can be a real problem. I went to bed late and left home in a rush this morning and didn't bring anything to the office except my Alli. After 30 minutes here I was starving! So I had to leave, go to the grocery store and look for something, and trust me when you already are hungry it's hard to not buy something you shouldn't. Thankfully ALL CRAVINGS go away if you give it a few minutes. I was able to gain my clarity back and bought some carrots, sliced mangoes, protein shakes and a delicious 140 calorie spinach soufflé! ( which I'm enjoying for breakfast with some Cholula on top). I was also freezing so I bought black coffee instead of my regular tea :( I miss my regular breakfast but that's what I get for not leaving everything ready the night before. Forgetting to pack your lunch can be dangerous for your goals, not as healthy and expensive.
